I try not to take myself too seriously when it comes to my photography; it is my outlet to focus on the good, the beautiful, the delightfully odd...but I am seriously a fan of this common daylily. They are a sign that summer is in full swing in New England. I see them in personal gardens as well as growing out in the wild, they are both formal and informal depending on their setting, and they add life wherever they bloom. This image is printed on professional photo paper (I print my own), and professionally matted and framed in a handmade, hand-rubbed hard maple frame.
