I was on my bike, and I just happened to look over in time to see this great blue heron trying to be invisible. It was crouching right next to the bank of the Blackstone River Canal, within just a few feet of the bike trail. I rode up a little way before stopping my bike so as not to disturb it and did my best wildlife photographer silent approach. A big thanks goes to Great Blue who let me get off a few shots before flying to the other side of the canal. This image is printed on professional photo paper (I print my own), and professionally matted and framed in a handmade, hand-rubbed hard maple frame.
